Building Competency NZ is resource supplier to many BCA’s throughout New Zealand.
We supply Competency Assessment and Audit services to BCA’s, we are currently on track to perform 200 Competency Assessments per year and this number is growing everyday.
We are a group of forward-thinking professionals who are moving ahead and responding to the opportunities and demands of the industry throughout New Zealand.
We have been working with software developers over the last 2 years to create an integrated system/tool to allow Competency Assessments to be performed in a consistent, efficient and proactive manner. We chose to develop a web-based platform for innovative, high quality, consistent and cost-effective based solution for the annual need to assess Building Control staff for competency under the National Competency Assessment System (NCAS) framework.
We are looking for current, qualified Building Officials to undertake competency assessments for Building Competency NZ.
Competency Assessors:
This role provides a variety of work, the opportunity to help and work with BCA’s nationwide and the ability to expand your technical knowledge and professional development.
The preferred candidate will require technical competencies and experience in processing Building Consent applications and/or performing inspections preferably with a competency level of Residential 1 to Residential 3, and/or Commercial 1 to Commercial 3, or relevant experience in a similar role within the construction sector. NCAS Appendix 2 would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
We offer the ability to work remotely from home, or in one of our four offices throughout New Zealand, these include, Christchurch (HQ), Wellington, Auckland, Timaru.
